Rules and Rosters
The idea of the 50 dollar prize is a great idea. Some guys however are yet to follow certain rules. I notice some guys have basically no posts on this site and are in the league. There are still guys with no rosters posted either. People need to get this stuff done and be active on here as well. Some guys have recently disappeared.

Re: Rules and Rosters
Totally agree Pitt,
I wasn't going to be busting anyone's balls this season if they met most of the requirements for the prize but next season it will be strictly enforced.
I also may increase the prize value and implement some sort of recruiting incentive but we'll see about that.
I do agree that we need to get those rosters posted though!

I don't understand the purpose of posting rosters. They can change a lot and you can see everyone's roster on the game.

Re: Rules and Rosters
It helps with trade negations and just keeping people informed.
An argument could also be made that it helps game planing strategies.....like submitting starting lineups in the NHL.

Yes but all that and more is all online. You can look at more detailed stuff such as seeing a goalies glove high and low and stick high and low rankings.

It's normal for any league that has a site to enforce people to post their team rosters/availability/trade block on the site. Otherwise there really isn't any point to having a site. The site should be like an online community. Forum activity should be a must.

As well, I have no interest in the cash prize. I'm just here to play.

Re: Rules and Rosters
Not well said. It doesn't give a legit reason to why the rosters need to be posted. Rosters change all the time due to injury or trying to mix things up. It takes a lot of time to post every player on your roster and to update every time you make a change. Some people make changes to it every game.
"The Point" of the site doesn't depend on rosters, it makes it easier for the commish and everyone to communicate availability to schedule games and post rules because there is nowhere to do it on the game

Re: Rules and Rosters
I don't think posting rosters is a bad thing, my point is I don't see why it should be a requirement. The MAIN thing to worry about and enforce is a players AVAILABILITY to PLAY. Getting his games done. That's most important part of being active.

Dude...bottom line...whoever's right about whether it makes sense or not to post your roster or if it's fair that someone even ask you to do that...who cares man?
It takes like 30 seconds, I did it yesterday having never done it before...
Of all possible things to argue about, why are you going off on this? Save your energy for something important man. Relax. It's just for fun.
If THIS bothers you that much, I don't even wanna think about how much whining's coming my way when I crush you 10-0 lol

Re: Rules and Rosters
Wow really? It's a discussion. That's what you want with this forum isn't it? Just because someone doesn't agree doesn't mean they're whining or needs to calm down. I'm new but I am part of the league, that doesn't mean I shouldn't have any input.

Re: Rules and Rosters
Newbie rebel, typical. Always see this sort of thing. If you post your roster you don't have to constantly update it. I just update mine(haven't posted for this league yet, figured with playoffs I got some time) at the beginning of the season, usually post a trade block during the offseason.
Edit: mtl man, me and you are both new. We gotta be around a while before we can have some serious input into league rules and such. Just the way it goes.

Re: Rules and Rosters
Again an excellent point man. It's just the matter of posting the roster. I haven't updated mine since I made a trade. It's extremely simple. We value all input but 2-3 guys have asked you to post a roster and you continue to "discuss" it. So please, respectfully post a roster.TampaGM wrote:Newbie rebel, typical. Re: Rules and Rosters
Navigating through the GM Connected mode is often painfully slow. It's much easier to view rosters on a forum than in game, especially when you're trying to locate a player. The trade screen isn't slow but they take that screen away post deadline.

Re: Rules and Rosters
I never said I wasn't going to post a roster. All I asked for was a legit reason to why it needs to be a requirement and requirement to win the prize. So ALL of YOU "calm down"

And I haven't posted it yet because I haven't been on PS3 yet today!

Your input is appreciated but at some point in the conversation you have to realize that the majority of GMs support the roster posting rule.
You don't have to be so specific with it (the roster) that it become a burden but just give everyone a general idea of what your team looks like.
There are many time during trade negotiations that I've been away from the console but on the PC or Ipad....that's when it really comes in handy!
I love your spirit....but let's move on from this topic, k?
Re: Rules and Rosters
Just choose your battles dude...
That's like fighting with everything you've got because "the man" says wear matching socks, but YOU demand the right to wear one white and one grey sock......when it's winter and everyone's wearing long pants anyways...
PS - I'm probably not THAT good, just better than you...haha

Re: Rules and Rosters
That's fine if theyre in support of it. But why is it so hard for those GMs who are veterans to give me a legit answer to a legit question so I understand the rule instead of shut up whining newbie rebel and just do it? Ridiculous. This forum is for discussion right? And those veterans should be able to answer it the way you and Florida did. Just sayin
