A Few Words From The Commissioner....

GMs:

I'm very excited to see the league finally underway. I am even more excited to see the enthusiasm from the great group of GMs that make the DDHFL the greatest GM Connected League on the planet.    

I wanted to take a moment to make you all aware of some of my personal processes with running the League so everyone is on the same page with how some of this will work.

First, I am usually on the console every night between 7-11PM ET.  However, just because I may be logged on to the console or even NHL14, it does not mean that I am sitting in front of the TV.  Many times I'll take a break to eat dinner or do stuff around the house, so I may not "be available" even though you may see me online.

Next, Can you guys imagine being online and getting 15-20 PMs every hour?  Not fun!  I understand that some of that comes with being the Commissioner but please try to refrain from communicating with me on the console unless it's very important.  It takes way to long to answer questions on the console.

My usual set up is to have my ipod next to me when I'm on the console.  So it's not to difficult for me to jump on here if necessary.  But please keep in mind that I want to play the game too so constantly jumping online can be frustrating if I'm getting hammered with questions.  I've noticed that many of the questions that are asked are already addressed here on the site so I have concerns that some GMs may not be reading the rules and such which is really not good. Everyone needs to read the league rules!

Also, my time on the site varies.  I am usually able to jump on several times throughout the day and evenings.  My job offers me the ability to be online very often and that is when I prefer to deal with the questions and stuff on the site.  However, some days do get very busy and I may not always be able to respond right away or sometimes I may have to leave my desk without notice.

In general, I deal with the site during the day and I'm on the console at night to play.  

The last point I'd like to make is that Swic (FlyersGM) is Co-commissioner of this league.  He has the authority to make league decisions on my behalf.
