In a press conference earlier today, Chris Pronger has been deemed healthy enough to return to the ice and will make his miraculous return to start the season. With the news of Pronger's health now being near perfect, current captain Claude Giroux is stepping down as captain and giving it back to Chris Pronger.
Claude Giroux will take over the assistant captain from Sott Hartnell and Kimmo Timonen will keep his associate captain status.
