What Team Do You Want In NHL 14?

If you had your choice of any team in NHL 14 who would it be? As previously stated, I am a huge huge Flyers fan so I would choose them. However, there are 2-3 other guys that would want the flyers. So here are my top 3 picks for teams and why.

1. Philadelphia Flyers. They are my favourite team and I LOVE their style of play. My fav player is Simmonds and he should be a beast in NHL 14. Not to mention they have one of the better young forward groups in the league with Laughton waiting patiently.

2. New York Islanders. Islanders are one of many rivals for the Flyers, but I like how young they are. They have all the pieces in place to be a major contender in the league for sometime. I would like to be the Islanders to work with the young guys and make it my goal to find them a starting goaltender.

3. Edmonton Oilers. Who would not want this team lol. It's absolutely filled with 19-22 year olds that are all going to be absolutely studs one day. Not to mention they just drafted Darnell Nurse and added Andy Ference. Ll the young forwards on this team would make easy trade targets to add Edmontons elusive number 1 d man.

Those are my team picks and why. Also I know the Flames are extremely unappetizing for anyone. I have a friend who plays NHL with me all the time. He now has money to buy a PS3 so he will be buying one and would like the Calgary Flames as they are his favourite team and he loves the challenge of rebuilding them .

My Choices:

1. Philadelphia Flyers-die hard fan-season ticket holder- love the offseason acquisition of Lecavlier Streit and Emery, would love to have this team

2. Los Angeles Kings- West Coast Flyers, have a good goalie and a good offense

3. Nashville Predators- Have a good goalie as well as a young, up and coming, loaded defense core

I would never have wanted the 2013 Flyers even though I bleed orange & black since the 70's....yeah, I know some of you guys were probably not even born yet when I heard Gene Hart's famous line on the radio, "The Flyers have won the Stanley Cup!, The Flyers have won the Stanley cup!, the Flyers have won the Stanley Cup!" Way too long ago!

Anyway, my teams would have to be:

1. Philly
2. Boston
3. St. Louis/Nashville/Detriot

30. Pittsburgh ....just did that to emphasize that I am pure Philly blood. lol

I'm pretty flexible and it would not be the end of the world if I didn't get Philly.

I'm assuming NJ is staying with his team, and I think I remember Chicago said he was a Canucks fan so he might take VAN. If TB wants to stay, I would think he would stay with TB. Don't know what PHX wants to do.

Were the seven remaining members BOS, NYI, PIT, CHI, NJ, PHX, FLA?

Anybody know where Minn has been...he was an original member and was very active up until a few weeks ago?

I completely forgot about MIN.

Who's active then? I took a brief time off but am back. I have noticed nobody visits the forums. I was talking to New Jersey Gm and he said he's done with 13 but will be back for NHL 14. So who's active lol?

I think most of the guys are waiting for NHL14 at this point. We all got caught up in work and summertime activity and things went quiet around here.

Now it looks like just NYI, Pitt & Bos are still going strong and everybody else is waiting. Not sure what the deal is with CHI because he was always active but I haven't seen him around lately either.

I will say that when it comes time to recruit we will get guys...I was posting daily in the EA forums during season 3 and we almost got the league full...only problem was there were lots of newbies that weren't serious or didn't read the rules so we'll have to be more selective on recruiting new members.

Question for you guys....do we keep the same league name in 14?

Ehhh that's up for debate. Any other good names?

I think we should start taking reservations for teams. Reserve a few teams for us. Copy and paste the info from the original thread and go from there

Yes we absolutely need to start reserving teams. People will get on board fast if they know they can join as there favourite team. If I'm not mistaken we started very early last year and right before release had a GM check in. I do lots of research into my team so the earlier I know who I am using the better. And I think it's time for a new name lol. Nothing again Ding but he no longer is with us. Unless we keep the same name so our current members don't get confused.

But I think we should start taking team requests from GM's.
