Heated Rivals of the DDHFL!
Thought it would be fun to start a thread on who everyone thinks is their biggest rival. I'll fire the first shot over the bow.
For me it has to be
But I can also say in the few games I've played against I can see myself hating them just as much.
Nothing personal guys, I think you both have great sportsmanship...just hate playing you ;-) More importantly, I'd love beating you, if it ever happens!

I'm too new to really have a rival, but I've played 3 times already and have had a couple really intense games. The last game got a little out of hand and my team took a few cheap shots towards the end of the game haha.
I'm not their rival yet, but I plan on seeing them in the playoffs.

I'm sure your animosity will grow during the playoffs if you play CHI!

I'd love to say the Islanders but I'd be dreaming!
There are several new teams so it's hard to say at this point.
NJ, Pit & Philly are all tough to beat so take your pick!

Oh yeah, How the heck could I forget FLA!!!
Probably because I only have to play him 4 times a season so the beatings aren't as often!

My rival was probably Buffalo, we also had very good games, hoping to start that back up when we both get back to playing full

Tough call.....I would love to see that series.
Re: Heated Rivals of the DDHFL!
My rivals in no particular order are:
These guys all bring out the best in me. I would have to say is my biggest rival. Me and him really go at it when we play and everytime we play its anyone's game. Last playoff he beat me rather easily in 5 so I hope to somehow meet him first round and bounce him early lol.
somehow always gets my best games lol. I don't know what it is but I explode for like 7 goals randomly against him lol. It's just one of those things. We have some good games tho.
is new but he and I have had some really good games early. We're really reviving the Pittsburgh and Philadelphia rivalry.
much like New Jersey always gives me hell. We go at sit physically every game we play and anyone can come out on top.
I don't play the west much obviously but I have played once and it was a really close game. Would love to meet him in the cup final lol.

Strangely enough, a cool little DDHL fact. No team has had the best overall record ( won the presidents trophy) and won the Stanley cup. Weird I know.San Jose GM wrote:How did Florida nit win last season? Florida vs NJ who wins?

Chicago
Well since you guys are in the East, hopefully I can scratch my way into the playoffs and build a rivalry with The couple of games I've had with him have been tough. And Fleury is back in a couple of games. So an upset is brewing lol

I've only played a handful of games in the league so far and most have been really good games. I can see my biggest rivals being those teams in my division for sure, mainly being and
I seem to matchup well against , hopefully that can continue for many seasons to come lol

Rivals
My biggest rival so fare got to be The Pittsburgh Penguins. We have had some serious games and you never know who will win, it can go both ways every time. I like those games alot.
Florida Panthers have definitely taken over the second place on my list. He is great player and gave me a beating the last time we met.
My third rival has to be Buffalo, this started all the way back in season 1. He has been gone and come back so the rivalry needs to get build up again. But that time will come when he bumps he's head into my 4 line tough guys against he's star players;) Then we get back to the scrappy part.

The series was tied 1-1 when the rest of the series got simmed due to time differences. I probably would've lost either way since my record against NJ is something like 3-7. He's definitely got my number.

Re: Heated Rivals of the DDHFL!
You're all my rivals...I look forward to playing anyone who's not a computer haha
I think my biggest rival is probably though. Unfortunately, he's away on vacation so this season I don't really get to play him, but he's good, and the only person I actually know, haha, so bragging rights mean a little more when I see him and can be like "Hey...probably didn't need Streit anyways, right?"
this season though... I really wanna beat Tavares and vanRiemsdyk out of the scoring races, haha, and he just won't go away...
And I'm always pumped to play any eastern conference team, but especially Florida.

Re: Heated Rivals of the DDHFL!
Hahaha I love it man. Nothing I love more than some solid fun competition. I love the physical battles and having to work for every inch of the ice and I know you will make me do so. I look very forward to our games man. We will play some exhibition games once the game comes out .Penguins GM wrote: these teams are my rivals all very good players but its these teams that make me twist my controller and start hollering at the tv lol
