The Philadelphia Flyers have exploded out of the gate and sit among the upper echelon in the league, but at what price? The Flyers depth has been on display early in the season with defenseman Braydon Coburn, Chris Phillips and forwards Claude Giroux, Scott Hartnell, Colin Greening, Tyler Bozak, Jake Voracek have all missed 5-10 games or more each.
Luke Schenn has emerged as a force and thinks the Flyers style is to thank for their place in the conference.
" With our injuries we have always stayed the course and not differed from our system. No matter who's in the lineup or who we play we always play the same" said the Luke Schenn when asked about injuries.
The Flyers would certainly prefer to be healthy and have every player available but that's unrealistic. In this day and age teams need depth to win and the flyers are no different.
