Re: Waivers..
I think we should hold off for this period....the game seems to be doing some weird stuff. My app says that I claimed guys I didn't but on the console it looks normal. Other GMs have said they had players released with no other roster movements being made.
Let's see what happens.

Re: Waivers..
Something has to be done. I lost Rinaldo to Minnesota. I messaged him letting him know the situation and will be re acquiring him. But it's ridiculous that I lose a player for no apparent reason whatsoever. Partnered with the injuries it makes the perfect storm. I say turn waivers off or make a waivers section where we say who we want to put on waivers

That is a noob move to do. Learn to manage your roster and it Wont happen.
Have you guys ever played career mode with waiver on?
I'm not after anyone, but it is a important thing to have On!!!

Re: Waivers..
Guy it's not a noob move. The CPU is literally sending players down. If you advance the period it's basically doing best available lines when that happens. Did you not see Tobias Enstrom on the waiver wire. Moody sends him down unless your an all star team. It's not about managing your team it's about the CPU messing up not us. Did you check yours yet? Or did you try to send Urbom down?NewJerseyGm wrote:That is a noob move to do. Learn to manage your roster and it Wont happen.

Re: Waivers..
yea for some reason I lost marcus johansson bc the computer decided to drop him to the minors. I placed nate thompson on waivers but he is still on my nhl roster. Its like the game decided not to put thompson on waviers, but johansson instead...

Re: Waivers..
Yeah, the CPU automatically sets your best lines during the advancement...especially if you have any injuries...and that means it makes roster moves based on how it's programmed to manage your team...has nothing to do with your experience...
But with all the insane injuries and bugs with the system (the freezing trade screen for example) it does kind of seem like a good idea to turn them off until everything works properly.
I agree they're an important part of the realism and strategy and should absolutely be turned back on things get sorted out and the computer doesn't touch your team, but for now they should be off because there's nothing stopping a CPU team from claiming players whether you meant to put them on waivers or not, and you can't really PM a CPU team and ask for your player back......

Re: Waivers..
The other problem I noticed was when I tried to send a guy down with a 2- way contract it said he had to go through waivers. Why have 2 way contracts if they have to go through waivers.

Re: Waivers..
Makes sense to turn it off for now but we have to come up with a way to prevent GMs from burying player contracts in the minors without exposure to losing them.
We need a rule on this....let's put our heads together.
In the meantime, waivers will temporarily be turned off!

Re: Waivers..
For those of us who lost players on waivers to CPU teams, can we trade for them back? I lost a pretty good player. What about using my alt account and taking over Winnipeg and giving my player back? Same for other guys that may have lost players to the cpu.

2 Way means: the player get one salary in nhl and another one if he is sent Down. The contract Can still be Waiver content. You have to look if it says yes or no to waiver!IslanderGM wrote:The other problem I noticed was when I tried to send a guy down with a 2- way contract it said he had to go through waivers. Right now, waivers off is the right move, not a "noob" move. How is it our fault that the CPU is doing things we can't control

Re: Waivers..
It didn't happen to me but I think this should be allowed as long as the player isn't waiver eligible or was sent down by the CPU. I saw a lot of non-eligible young players pop up there to be claimed and no one should lose a major asset like that because of some glitch in the game that hasn't been worked out yet.Washington GM wrote:For those of us who lost players on waivers to CPU teams, can we trade for them back?
