NJD, Offseason, Lord stanley cup in 2015
After a horrible 2013/2014 season that was ruined by a lockout and dishonest play, the New Jersey Devils are back in the game.
On a side note congratulation to the Vancouver Canucks with the stanley cup.
The Commisioner of rules (CBJ GM) has put out a set of Brand new rules to be try out in this upcoming season. I may say i like them alot, finally the game is moving away from the arcade mode and into more realistic play, Thanks.
The NJD came into the offseason with a goal to get a puckmoving d-man and to re-signed the most important players on the roster.
players that did not do the work for the puck controlling team in jersey was shipped out and back in was brought less skill but more strength and size.
OUT: D. Brunner, R. Carter, M. Zidlicky, M. Brodeur (retirement)
IN: R. Reaves, D. Boyle, J. Haddad, F. Andersen.
Re-Signed: J. Jagr, A. Loktionov, A. Larsson, M. Fayne, M. Tedenby.
New Jersey Devils GM Lou Lamoriello on the 2014/2015 season: The Lord Stanley Cup will end up in New Jersey in late may, wait and see. That is our only goal.
Recap of the first real test of the season came when NJD was in Columbus to play the blue jackets.
Nj came out strong and dominated most of the game with stong puck possession. J. Jagr netted a pair of goals, and schneider stood tall in the goal all game long. CLB was dangerous on the rush but the was closed down with hard hits and steady D. Most of the night CLB was pinned down in the zone for long stretches of time.
With the new rules NJD looks strong on D and dominant in the offensive zone.
End result: CBJ vs NJD 1-3

The devils are good I couldn't get anything going offensively and struggled to get the puck out of the zone. Their going to be a force in the playoffs
